The Everglades is known as one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. Unless you have an expert Everglades tour guide, one who is familiar with the area and what to look for, it’s easy to miss out on some of the most spectacular Everglades animals. While alligators are regarded as the keystone species of this land, this subtropical wetland ecosystem acts as a home for a variety of wildlife and plants.
What animals live in the Everglades? The best way to see all of them up close is on an airboat tour. Learn more and then book your tickets today for an unforgettable experience!
Animal Sanctuary – Other animals that we have here at the park
As part of a $20M renovation project, we’ve recently constructed an animal sanctuary area inside the park that you get free access to with the purchase of every Everglades airboat tour and gator show ticket. In our animal sanctuary area, you’ll get to see 2 extremely rare albino alligators, 2 color-morphed red foxes, raccoons, baby alligators, tortoises, peacocks, and many more Everglades animals. Also, this area is where our BIG boy Seven the Alligator lives, so you can stop by and say hi to him while you are here at the park. Remember, there’s only one Everglades and only one way to see it!
